Beautifully Brutal Day
(Intro) THERE YOU ARE! COMMENCE THE BEATINGS!
(Second Part Soft Intro)
I’m waking so slowly ever cautiously
Wearing what will be construed as irony
A T with a picture of some wording on my chest
Labels aren’t found, with any money to go round
I don’t say a word, just a hug, and a see ya later Mom and Dad
With one last look, I gather my strength to face another beautifully brutal day
(Chorus)
It’s closing in on me!
This senseless rivalry!
I’m just trying to be… anything you want of me
It’s not OK, treating me this way
You won’t be happy till I’m screaming out in agony
I’m not like you but if I had to be
Would I beat someone out of misery?
Holding your jacket as I fall to the floor
You’re whaling on me while I bleed from every pore
No one steps in afraid to step up
Standing just watching me get taken out
I hear them holler for you to win
This is my life I wish it meant something, anything… anything more than this
(Chorus)
It’s closing in on me!
This senseless rivalry!
I’m just trying to be… anything you want of me
It’s not OK, treating me this way
You won’t be happy till I’m screaming out in agony
It is not your place to be getting in my face
I haven’t even begun to hate your grizzly ways
No matter what I try or who I try to be
I’ve lived long enough to know you’re the one disturbed
This is not the man you wanted… to be…..
